MOOC AS A LEARNING LANGUAGE ENVIRONMENT

Imagen
MOOC AS A LEARNING LANGUAGE ENVIRONMENT MOOCs are massive open online courses. It begins as an opportunity for organizations to offer online courses to students all over the world for free. It provides flexible and affordable educational opportunities learners at all stages can leverage to thrive in an increasingly complex and technologically advanced world.  For example, Coursera is basically an international learning environment so large that one generally does not fathom the benefits of such a large scale before getting inside this sort of an environment.  Firstly, you will have someone better than you. You will also have someone way slower than you. This contrast can bring out excellent questions about your course content. Secondly, meet and greet different learners. Thirdly, when you engage yourself in a forum culture, you have the opportunity to give and receive good and bad feedback on everything that is up for discussion.  Fourthly, the distance. MOOC...

HOW TO DEVELOP A MOOC PLATFORM

HOW TO DEVELOP A MOOC PLATFORM  Phase 1: Content Development In order to ensure the content is in alignment with learning objectives for a MOOC, it is essential for Instructional Designers and Subject Matter Experts to begin with a concept meeting to ensure there is a common vision.  Phase 2: Revision There will inevitably be multiple iterations of revisions that will be made during the content development process. It is essential for Subject Matter Experts to review each draft of educational materials based on the initial, agreed-upon timeline.  Phase 3: Filming And Post-Production If there is an instructional technologist and a multimedia producer at an institution, it is essential to review filming guidelines with the Instructional Designers and Subject Matter Experts. Phase 4: Final Review During the final review, instructors should be sure to revisit their account before launch to ensure and verify that their author signatures and credentials are correct....

LEARNING THEORY FOUNDATIONS

Imagen
LEARNING THEORY FOUNDATIONS  CONSTRUCTIVISM: is the theory that says learners construct knowledge rather than just passively take in information. As people experience the world and reflect upon those experiences, they build their own representations and incorporate new information into their pre-existing knowledge. CONNECTIVISM: is a model of learning that can guide first year advising through “the integration of principles explored as chaos, network, and complexity, and self-organization theories” as well as an “understanding that decisions are based on rapidly altering foundations.   COMPONENTS  According to the TPACK model, teachers have three areas of knowledge: The discipline or content (CK) on which they teach (mathematics, English, language...) Pedagogical (PK): the different methodologies or ways of teaching that apply in the classroom. Technological (TK): the technological resources and tools used to teach the different contents. TPACK MODEL

TPACK MODEL  studies the integration of technology in education. This model was developed between 2006 and 2009 by teachers Punya Mishra and Mattew J. Koehler, and is based on the combination of three variables in which each teacher must train: technological knowledge, pedagogical knowledge and content knowledge. REFERENCES Common Sense Education. HOW TO USE E-CREATION TOOLS IN THE CLASSROOM

Imagen
HOW TO USE E - CREATION TOOLS IN THE CLASSROOM E tools provide possibilities for students to become creative with language and share their thoughts and ideas in a variety of ways. Students construct and use activities that maximize opportunities to interact with others in English. The use of e-tools is interesting because teachers are using the technology as a means of promoting English language learning through project-based learning or within a differentiated classroom. The main reason is that they have a wide variety of technological tools at their disposal to choose from. REFERENCES E - Learning Industry. (2021, September 22).
